Neighbors Helping Neighbors Since 1985
When unexpected hardships arise, having a little help can make all the difference.
Established in 1985 through a partnership between the Peabody Municipal Light Plant (PMLP) and the North Shore Community Action Programs (NSCAP), the Peabody Hard Times Fund was created to help local residents facing financial difficulties keep their homes warm and their essential utilities running.
For more than four decades, the generosity of Peabody and South Lynnfield residents has helped neighbors navigate challenging circumstances, including unemployment, rising living expenses, medical costs, and other financial hardships. Contributions support individuals and families who may be struggling to afford winter heating and other essential utility expenses, including older adults, individuals with disabilities, working families, and those experiencing unexpected financial setbacks.
Your generosity makes a difference.
Every contribution helps provide a little breathing room for a neighbor facing difficult times. Together, we can help ensure that members of our community have access to the essential utilities they need to stay safe, warm, and healthy.
Whether you are making a donation or seeking assistance, the Peabody Hard Times Fund is built on a simple but powerful belief: no one should have to face hardship alone.
Give today. Help a neighbor. Make a difference.
