Housing Law Basics

The law on safe, affordable housing for low and middle-income clients

Are your clients living in an apartment that is unsafe? Do they need to move to a more affordable apartment? Is their landlord evicting them? This program focuses on strategies to assist clients with starting up a new tenancy that is safe and affordable, as well as maintaining it. It also includes strategies for clients in the eviction process. This training is recommended for social and health service advocates and case managers who want to learn more about housing law and subsidized housing programs in Massachusetts. The program includes a lecture presentation and small group session to discuss hypothetical cases.
