Overview
North Shore Community Action Programs provides innovative social services that help low-income families and individuals find the stability they need to rise out of poverty.
As a locally run charitable organization, we tailor our programs and services to meet the unique needs of our neighbors in need.
Founded in 1965, we serve residents of Peabody, Beverly, Salem, Danvers, and 22 other communities. Donations to North Shore Community Action Programs are tax-deductible.
Our funding comes from a variety of sources: private donors, corporate foundations, charitable foundations, and the state and federal government.
Funders include the Massachusetts Departments of Housing and Community Development, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Executive Office of Elderly Affairs; the U.S Departments of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Housing and Urban Development; the North Shore Workforce Investment Board; Aging Services Access Points (ASAP); and the cities of Salem, Peabody, and Beverly.
